หลังจากที่มีคนออกมาโจมตีการที่แฟนหนุ่ม Pete Davidson ของสาว Ariana Grande ออกมาพูดเกี่ยวกับเหตุการณ์ Manchester Bombing ที่คอนเสิร์ต Dangerous Woman Tour ของนักร้องสาว

ผู้ใช้ทวิตเตอร์รายหนึ่งทวีตว่า เธอเคารพ Ariana และอยากให้นักร้องคนโปรดมีความสุข แต่เธอแค่สงสัยว่าทำไม Ari ยังคบกับ Pete อยู่ทั้งที่เขาพูดตลกเกี่ยวกับ Manchester Bombing ที่มันไม่ได้ตลกเอาเสียเลย  สาว Ariana ก็ได้ตอบกลับ ผู้ใช้ทวิตเตอร์รายนี้ว่า มันเป็นเรื่องที่ยากและขัดแย้งในใจของเธอมาก Pete ใช้มุขตลกของเขาเพื่อช่วยให้คนรู้สึกดีขึ้น และคนเรามีวิธีฟื้นฟูตัวเองต่างกัน แน่นอน เธอไม่คิดว่าเรื่องที่เขาพูดมันตลก แต่ว่าเรื่องมันก็ผ่านมานานแล้วและ Pete เองก็ไม่ได้มีจุดประสงค์ที่ไม่ดีตอนพูดเรื่องนี้

I respect Ariana and I want her to be happy and everything, but she was just broken after the Manchester bombing, so I don’t know why she is still with Pete, like yeah he made that joke a while ago, but like it’s not funny, it’s just rude. This is my opinion.

this has been v tough & conflicting on my heart. he uses comedy to help ppl feel better ab how f-ed up things in this world are. we all deal w trauma differently. I of course didn’t find it funny. it was months ago & his intention wasn’t/ is never malicious but it was unfortunate

ต้นเหตุของเรื่องนี้เกิดจากการที่หนุ่ม Pete ไปพูดใน Stand Up Comedy เกี่ยวกับเรื่องนี้ที่ Laugh Factory ใน Los Angeles  เมื่อประมาณ 5 เดือนที่ผ่านมาว่า Ariana ต้องรู้ได้แล้วว่าเธอดังแค่ไหน เพราะขนาดในคอนเสิร์ตของ Britney Spears ยังไม่มีการก่อการร้ายเลย ซึ่งคำพูดสั้น ๆ ไม่กี่ประโยคนี้ ทำให้หลายคนวิพากษ์วิจารณ์เป็นอย่างมาก โดยเฉพาะคนที่อยู่ในเหตุการณ์นั้น
